Aero the Acrobat

Not to be outdone by the naming convention of Sonic The Hedgehog, the masterminds at Iguana Entertainment spent part of their coffee break one day in early 1993 brainstorming names for their 2D platforming title. They settled on Aero The Acrobat but we wonder what the world would be like now if any of the alternatives were picked instead:

  • Shame the Ostrich
  • Diseasey the Mouse
  • General Nuisance the Seagull
  • Nibbles the Chipmunk
  • Spazzy the Spider Monkey
  • Maul the Grizzy
  • Disembowels the Friendly Panther
  • Showoff the Naked Mole Rat
  • Burrows the Chigger
  • Flingy the Marmoset
  • Blendy the Chameleon
  • Pockets the Possum
  • Hugs the Boa Constrictor
  • Hugs the Retarded Shark
  • Scuttles the Crab
  • Itchy the Crabs
  • Snorts the Warthog
  • Pee-Pee the Toothpick Fish
  • Shitty the Dung Beetle
