While the Madden curse is well known for stopping careers in mid-stride the arcade-style football franchise Blitz carries its own flavour of trouble. Cover subject Lawrence Taylor is reported to have experienced the following within one week of the release of Blitz: The League II:

  • Stumbled over Tonka truck left on kitchen floor by visiting nephew
  • Forgot to take roast out of oven, ruined dinner
  • Grocery bag ripped down middle on way home — had to hold bag by top and side for half mile
  • Passed wind when startled at restaurant by sommelier
  • Filled SUV at Chevron station for $3.56 a gallon when Exxon station around the corner was $3.44
  • Set riding mower blade too low and ruined part of lawn between bird bath and rosebush
  • Locked keys in car — had to walk back up the driveway to retrieve spare set
