Galaga Too

In the years that followed the massive success of the original Galaga, colonies began requesting that the alien-blasting spectacular be re-enacted in their area. Overwhelmed by the number of requests, Galaga allowed its younger, unemployed brother to recreate the saga under the moniker Galaga Too.

Things went well for several years, but tensions began to mount when Galaga felt Galaga Too wasn’t identifying the difference between their space combat sufficiently in promotional materials. Galaga was particularly incensed that Galaga Too continued to perform “The Old ‘Get Captured/Get a Second Ship,’ ” routine after repeated requests from Galaga to stop. A lawsuit ensued, and in the end, Galaga Too went away, leaving only Galaga and several authorized ports to continue.

Ironically, Galaga was at first created to fulfill requests for the overbooked Galaxian.
