“Ice Cream! Ice Cream!”

The only treat available for the blood-thirsty audiences of Speedball games was ice cream. The ice cream boy can be heard hawking his wares in the future sport title Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe. It was not love of ice cream alone that accounts for this snack monopoly in the gunmetal future.
Popcorn boy Jimmy Hansen, 12, was decapitated by an out of bounds ball in front of a family of four visiting from New Portland.
Beer vendor Johnny “The Drink” DeMotto, 14, took a spiked fist to the gut during a fight that spilled out of the bench and died at the hospital the next day from complications from giant holes in his stomach.
Pretzel boy Sammy Dunkins, 13, suffered massive limb trauma when he fell into the bonus multiplier while serving rabid fans in the rink-side red seats. Destroyers captain Blade McCool commented it was the most ironic death he’d seen that week.
Top-earner Bobby Jankowski, 14, was selling hot dogs right up to the point he was decapitated by the head of Jimmy Hansen.

Apparently Blade didn’t see Bobby’s death!
