Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) Games are a class of videogames where players join with hundreds — sometimes thousands — of other gamers in a persistent online world where they can engage in shallow gameplay while paying high monthly access fees for the privilege of doing so.

Players travel the vast worlds of MMOs, battle creatures and complete quests to “level up” to the maximum strength so they can sit back, wait and pay subscription fees for 18 to 24 months until a new expansion pack is released that increases the level cap.
