Polygon Man, Post-Sony Employment History of

polygon-man.jpg

Polygon Man was the trash-talking mascot for the original PlayStation. Polygon Man was dropped before the launch of Sony’s first console and replaced by a series of popular game characters starting with Sofia from Battle Arena Toshinden. Polygon Man failed to capitalize on his short stint as the PlayStation mascot and fell on hard times. His subsequent employment history demonstrates the weak market for polygon-related marketing:

1997-1998: Shady Points Real Estate Development Board, Flagstaff, AZ

1998-1999: Victor, Vector: An evening of lasers set to the music of Victor, Victoria

1999-2001: Anti-Aliased LLC, corporate espionage counter-measures consulting, Irvine, CA

2001: Polly-B-Gone brand parrot poison spokesman

2001-2003: Unemployed (worked one week for Polygram Records before data entry mistake was corrected)

2004-2006: Depth Buffer on set of Digital Delivery

2007: Died after falling into texture compressor
