While not the first videogame, Atari’s Pong nevertheless blazed the trail for the idea of home systems when the popular tennis simulator was transfered from the arcade to a compact form factor and the game selection greatly enhanced. The home version of Pong introduced 25 exciting games on one system to American homes across the land.
