While not the first videogame, Atari’s Pong nevertheless blazed the trail for the idea of home systems when the popular tennis simulator was transfered from the arcade to a compact form factor and the game selection greatly enhanced. The home version of Pong introduced 25 exciting games on one system to American homes across the land. The games included; Tennis, tennis, Ten Nis, Tenn Is, Doubles Tennis, Amazing Tennis, Doubles Amazing Tennis, Reverse Tennis, Double Negative Tennis, Double Negative Doubles Tennis, Table Tennis, Singles Table Tennis, Solo Table Tennis, Super Badminton featuring tennis racquets and tennis balls, Ultra Tennis, Super Tennis, Practice Tennis, No-Score Tennis, Night Tennis, Open Tennis, Doubles Open Tennis, Double Open Reverse Tennis, Special Tennis and Tennis — and also Bouncing Bullets Tank Battle.
