Yar vs. Atari, Inc.

Yar’s Revenge was a 1981 Atari 2600 hit based on an earlier game called Star Castle. The Atari game spawned a mini comic book, a music album, TV ads and an eventual sequel.
But in legal circles, “Yar’s Revenge Revenge” refers to a series of lawsuits filed by Yar (no last name), the titular hero of the game. Although “Yar” was ostensibly the name of the insect-like hero alien race in the game, Yar claimed in the case Yar v. Atari, Inc. that much of the intellectual property in the game were his invention. Yar claimed he was due millions of dollars in royalties for coming up with everything from the name of the “Yar” aliens to the design of the “Zolron Cannon.” The case was dismissed when Yar claimed to have invented the concept of vengeance, which he said granted him all rights to profits from the game and its offshoots. Dissatisfied with that result, Yar continued to pursue his claim of ownership of the concept of revenge by suing the makers of games including Vengeance, Tribes: Vengeance, Montezuma’s Revenge, Batman: Vengeance, Red Alert 2: Yuri’s Revenge and the all of the Revenge of the Nerds films. It has been rumored that George Lucas changed the name of the third Star Wars film from Revenge of the Jedi to Return of the Jedi for fear of getting mixed up in Yar’s ongoing legal battles.
After decades of failed legal actions, Yar legally changed his name to Bob Yari and later sued the other filmmakers of the Oscar-winning film Crash over a producer credit.

I think Yar may have escaped from the planet of Journey album covers.
